Patrick, IT Service Manager at de Bijenkorf, explains how this partnership has helped elevate their network infrastructure to the next level.

Challenges and Needs


"At de Bijenkorf, we are constantly striving for progress, both in our stores and in the technology we use to provide our customers with the best experience," begins Patrick. "Our biggest challenge at the time was transitioning from a traditional DMVPN to an SD-WAN configuration. This was a significant step for us, especially since our stores are entirely dependent on a stable and reliable network connection. This was also true for our headquarters, patisserie, and photo studio. We simply couldn't afford a network outage disrupting our operations."

"We have increased the capacity on our lines, allowing us to better regulate internet traffic," Patrick explains. "Especially the card payment traffic, which is essential in a retail environment like ours, now takes priority. This has not only increased the reliability of our IT infrastructure but also ensures that our business continuity is even better safeguarded."
 

Looking to the Future


"The future of our collaboration with NBAS looks very promising," says Patrick enthusiastically. "As long as NBAS keeps bringing cake, the partnership will remain good," he adds with a wink. "But seriously, I see many opportunities to continue developing smart solutions with NBAS and the integrator, especially as we need more capacity with the further development of SD-WAN.
