Edwin Bijl about his visit to the Dutch Mobile Networking Event

While 70,000 visitors of the recent Mobile World Congress, MWC13, were taking inventory, 150 Dutch visitors were enjoying the 4th edition of the Dutch Mobile Networking Event, DMNE and that could easily have been twice as many looking at the amount of subscriptions.

The DMNE was an event that represents all the diversities in the market. From operators to the larger telecom providers as well as NBAS as an independent network provider. The emergence and diversity as well as the drive of the Dutch companies in the telecom sector was underlined by the presence of Patricia van Bentum, head of economic affairs of the Dutch embassy in Madrid.

In various discussions it became clear that we, as Dutch have pioneering ideas for companies to relieve them from unnecessary workload in order for them to focus on their core business and make it flourish. This means the safe implementation of the ‘new type of working’ using all business facets. This gives a new dimension to the strategy of companies. This is why the strength and experience of NBAS in combination with Quality of Service and Security in the Data and Telecom is a strong combination with the various XaaS models in a Private Cloud Environment. We are heading for a fantastic future.

Quintiq selects NBAS for global IP Network

Quintiq, the world leader in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O) platforms has selected the independent data and telecom specialist NBAS (‘Nothing But Air’ Services), Amsterdam to provide the company with a fully managed MPLS based IPVPN to connect their international offices around the world. This selection was essential in supporting Quintiq with their explosive international growth.

In the current market, where centralized applications are accessed and edited through terminals, stability and latency are key issues. “Quintiq is growing its international presence dramatically and we needed a partner to help ensure the integrity of our network,” said Wil Lamain, Vice President R&D and corporate support. “We are confident in the capabilities of NBAS and we are looking forward to working with them. This optimized and fully managed connectivity solution will support us in our business processes and in reducing overall TCO, enabling us to better service our customers”.

“As an international organization, Quintiq fits very well in the portfolio of NBAS, as we are specialized in connecting companies’ international branch offices and creating secure, reliable and stable Wide Area Networks (WAN’s)”, said Edwin Bijl, Sales Manager of NBAS. “The technical expertise of NBAS and the added value of NBAS’ managed data- and telecommunications services, allows Quintiq to focus more on their core business,” adds Edwin.
